You might be interested in reading extracts from two emails I received today. We could talk about them on Monday 18th especially if there are words or expressions you did not understand. One is from my cousin, Lucienne who is a substitute teacher. She’s 72 and used to be a Spanish teacher. She retired a few years ago but had to go back to replace absent teachers as the state of Michigan went bankrupt and she lost about 50% of her pension !!! Can you imagine the same situation in France !

The other email is from one of my oldest school friends, Andrina. We have known each other since we were ten years’ old. She moved to Australia when she was in her twenties and we still correspond.

Perhaps, you too may have news to share on the 18th.

I had suggested the 11th or 12th November. As the 11th is a bank holiday and some of you are absent, my house will be open to you on the 12th at 2.p.m.

If you are free this coming Thursday, the 21st we could also get together too at the same time. Let me know as  soon as possible, thanks.

I have been in contact with somebody that has covid so I don’t think it’s a good idea to meet tomorrow…… I’m sorry.

In november we’ll talk about Thanksgiving

Next tuesday we’re going to watch a short film clip from Ticket to Paradise with George Clooney and Julia Roberts. It’ll give us the chance to talk about aerophobia. Maybe you have some unusual flight experiences to share…..

In December we made a small Xmas pudding. I frooze it. I’ll take it out so that we can taste it together and compare it with the industrial one we ate in December.
